IFS THERAPY

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy is an evidence-based approach to psychotherapy that helps individuals access and heal their inner parts—both protective and wounded. IFS is based on the idea that the mind is made up of distinct sub-personalities or “parts,” each with its own emotions, beliefs, and roles. These parts often develop in response to life experiences and can carry difficult emotions such as shame, fear, sadness, or anger.

At the center of the IFS model is the concept of the Self—a calm, compassionate, and grounded core that exists within everyone. While parts may come into conflict with each other or overshadow the Self, IFS works to restore harmony by helping individuals access their Self and build a healing relationship with their parts.

Through this process, clients learn to understand the roles their parts have played, release burdens from past wounds, and create greater internal balance, clarity, and emotional resilience.
