IFS THERAPY

IFS therapy stands for internal family systems therapy, it is an evidence-based psychotherapy that helps folks by accessing and healing their protective and wounded inner parts. IFS is an approach that identifies and addresses multiple parts or sub-personalities within each person’s mental system. These sub-personalities or parts consist of wounds and painful emotions such as shame, sadness, hurt etc. These parts or sub-personalities can often be in conflict with each other and with one’s core Self, a concept that describes the whole person that is at the core of every individual. IFS focuses on healing the wounded parts and restoring balance by changing the dynamics between these sub-personalities and the Self. IFS helps people first access their Self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts.
